This was an awesome but short cruise, although we never felt that we were lacking anything. I knew the ship in and out before so that helped

No line to get to security!! A little bit of a wait as they didn’t start boarding at 1130 but not a huge issue
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Everything we had was top notch! We didn’t feel deprived one time. Sea day brunch was my favorite. I will review each restaurant separately. But our favorites were the Blue Cantina for breakfast. Get the huevos rancheros you won’t be disappointed and their homemade flour tortillas are amazing. Also the Cafe has great Sandwiches everything we got from BLT to grilled cheese to the Rubens were great although their fries were cold every single time we ordered. Didn’t do lido buffet at all except for desserts. Guys burgers is now on this ship although not listed as a venue for a separate review. Shockingly we only had this our first day and blue cantina and the cafe were our choices. Funny because we are guys everyday for lunch on the horizon
Blue Cantina is also not a separate venue for a review so I will say that their tacos are amazing and don’t skip the
Chopsticks

Had this one time for lunch and only got very small portions as I’m not that in to Chinese food but wanted to give it a try. Had the cashew chicken which was awesome toms of cashews. Noodles not so great super small. Rice was good.

Everything we had from chicken to prime rib was amazing. We Didn’t have one issue with our food. A tip if you’re ordering appetizers and you’re torn on which one to get order two. We ordered shrimp cocktail every night as there were only 4 to 5 shrimp in the dish we also ordered a salad skip the bread it’s not that great. The bottle of sweet wine I got the started with an L was slightly sparkling and was super tasty! Staff was amazing.
Pizza Pirate

This was definitely not our favorite, the pizza seemed much better on the horizon last year. Hardly any cheese and we almost always had to wait at least 15 in line, mostly late night snack but it hit the spot just don’t except it to be out of this world
Carnival Deli

Absolute favorite place to eat lunch since I don’t like eating at buffets. I had the BLT, asked for avocado on it and it was no problem. Grilled cheese special was amazing with spinach. Ruben was good. Meatball was on a lot of bread for the size of the meatballs but flavor was good. I didn’t care for the Mediterranean wrap. And skip the fries as they were always cold. Get the potato salad instead.
Onboard Activities

Pool deck is super small get there early. If you want to be away from kids make sure you go to the serenity deck or the aft pool which is for adults only. 2 kids tried to go In with their parents and Security told them they couldn’t so that was nice they were on top of it
Entertainment

Shows were awesome. Love and marriage was hilarious. Comedy shows were so funny we were crying from laughing so hard. Karaoke was fun even though we didn’t participate, we went every night. Pool deck party fun as always
Service and Staff

Never encountered a staff member that wasn’t friendly
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
So here’s my only issue with the ship it’s pretty dark the Decour is under the sea theme which makes things dark green brass compared to the horizon ship which was white and bright. Wasn’t an issue as the ship is almost 20 years old and going for a revamp soon to be the Radiance.
Sometime food sat and tables longer than we thought they should have
Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip
Do your research so your expectations match reality. Don’t let little things bother you
Hired a private driver that took us around the island for 2 hours $40 per person. Shopped. These prices are high compared to the 3 other ports we have been to. Definitely visit a lot of booths and try to get down to what you wanna pay
