Review summary

This was my first cruise at the urging of a family member who frequently cruises. It exceeded my expectations and I did have a marvelous time. The entire staff made the cruise so enjoyable and memorable. I would highly recommend a cruise to anyone. This will not be my last cruise with Carnival. And I hope I am lucky enough to get Felipe, Louis and Brad on the ship again.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation was a smooth and easy process. The wait times were not really bad and with other friendly passengers in line with you, the time passed easily and quickly every time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I have never seen such non-stop plentiful food in my life. All food was well prepared and very tasty, considering they are cooking for the masses. I truly enjoyed every buffet and the dining room experience was great. My first cruise experience was beyond expectations!!

Atlantic Dining Room

5 out of 5

Food and service were excellent. Pedrig was a fantastic wait staff as were all staff that I encountered. And the entertainment was an unexpected gem.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I was there mostly for relaxation but attended the shows and the music night trivia's were exceptional with Felipe, Louis and Brad. I enjoyed every minute of both nights.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We had the most remarkable steel drum player and I spent a lot of time watching her from the inner balcony area just outside our cabin. She was the best!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward Evelyn was the most polite and helpful person we could have asked for. We encountered a minor issue in our stateroom and Evelyn responded immediately each time until the issue was completely resolved. All of the waiters we encountered were exceptionally polite and helpful, and particulary Pedrig is a standout. I have nothing but positive things to say regarding every ship personnel we encountered.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was clean and constantly maintained while I was there.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was clean and well laid out. It was roomy enough for four people amd the beds were very comfortable.

Ship tip

My tip would really pertain to all Carnival ships and not just the Victory. Resist the urge to spend too much time in your cabin. You will miss too much no matter the time of day!

Ports of call

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
We did not do an excursion, but spent all out time walking about taking in the beauty, and lounging in the crystal clear water.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
I found this port beautifully colourful when walking around and the people very friendly. Again we did not do any excursions as we wanted to simply spend the day at the beach. Again, a fantantic day at the beach.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were among the earlybirds and again the line went very smoothly.
