Review summary
This was my first "normal" cruise and not a chartered cruise of an event. Loved how relaxing it can be and go at your own pace it was. The staff was very accomodating. We missed one night at the dinning hall and really wanted the strawberry bisque of which they served then. The staff madr sure to save us some for the next night. Last use the Carnival Hub app. It was very helpful.Embarkation

A charter cruise is one where a group or company book the whole ship... charter it from the cruise line. For example: if there were enough people interested from the Renaissance Festival community and someone willing to put up enough money to secure all of the cabins on the Ecstacy for a certain date, they could "buy' that cruise. No outsider could book it. I don't know what happens if you are already booked on a cruise and it then gets chartered, but I'm sure there is a procedure in place for that.

We are booked on a chartered cruise on carnival victory Feb 2018. Curious to know how different the services and entertainment is on a 'regular' cruise vs a chartered cruise. We have cruised Carnival many years ago. We mostly cruise Royal Caribbean. Not looking for a comparison of Carnival vs RCCL more so how is a chartered cruise? This will be our first.
I almost convinced my DH to book that cruise with Evine... but he wasn't going for it. I figured I would book the one before and do a B2B. Please, come back and let us know how the services compare.
