This was a great ship. This was my first cruise going up the east coast. Cannot wait to book another.
Embarkation

This was my first cruise out of the Port of New York. Nice terminal. The terminal staff did a good job at getting us on board. The waiting area had exceeded capacity. They did a good job adjusting and ultimately boarding us. We were in the ship within 30 minutes of our embarkation time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Our group, four cruisers, selected anytime dining. Using the Carnival Hub, we were able to check in and do our thing until our table was ready. The dining staff were decent. However, aside from water, they never asked if we wanted to order any other beverage. Seemed like a big miss since Carnival makes money on beverages.
The Sea Day brunch too nearly 3 hours. Was not well organized. Half of our food came out and 20 minutes later, the other half came out. The dining room staff were very friendly though.
The buffet was fair to good. Always found something I enjoyed.
Onboard Activities

Always something going on. Reggie was excellent. We have seen her in the Mardi Gras and Celebration. Very entertaining. Music and Magic (husband and wife music duo) were excellent. Look for them.
Entertainment

As mentioned above, Reggie was great. Music and Magic was fun. The comedy show was great on this ship. Comedian was funny without being overly political. Just funny material.
The theater shows were pretty good. One was a repeat that has been on other cruises. The cast did an excellent job by making it their own.
The casino o. This ship was very nice. Lots of fresh slot machines. The non-smoking area could be much larger.
Service and Staff

The staff were over all very friendly and enthusiastic. They appeared to also be having a good time which reflected in their attitudes. Two thumbs up to the staff of the Venezia!
Ship Quality

Ship was in very good condition . Overall, it was very clean. Our cabin had some left over towel animals under the cabin bed. After pointing this out to the cabin steward, we had no further issues. Cabin steward did a great job.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was in a great location. Cabin was clean and in excellent shape. When we first boarded, there was an issue with the Sail and Sign cards not unlocking the cabin doors. Guest Services quickly resolved this issue.
