Embarkation was smooth and our agent was very friendly, just took a while after check-in before we were able to board.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
This was the first cruise where some of my dinning experiences were just okay. Even my guys burger was burnt, twice..
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The outdoor areas, pools, splash zone, etc.. are showing their age and could use an update.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
While Alex, Elle, and Koko (Fun Squad) were amazing, our Cruise Director, Zac was a bit sleepy. If this had been my first cruise with Carnival I would have asked how they were branded as Fun Ships. Don’t get me wrong, Zac was nice, but the activities onboard were not as plenty as previous cruises, and if you didn’t attend a theater gathering, you didn’t see Zac. There were no theater production shows, but we did get a surprise our last night, Rose Short, top 4 finalist of The Voice (2019) was brought on in Cozumel to perform.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
As always the service provided by crew members was amazing! It was great talking to crew members, learning about where they are from, etc.. My only hiccup was a waiter in the comedy club who couldn’t seem to return with drinks..
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Conquest ships are very easy to navigate and the crew were constantly cleaning!
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Room was clean upon arrival and Dirga kept it that way throughout the cruise! Had an issue with my balcony door not sealing when closed, was noisy, noisy, but they fixed it right away!
Ship tip
Don’t forget sunscreen as they currently have NONE on the ship… My legs are proof lol!
As someone who loves the City of New Orleans, I was saddened to see what city government is allowing the city to become. Homeless sleeping on every street, pop up tent cities everywhere, beggars at almost every turn, and dirtier than normal streets. While there is still much to be enjoyed in this great city, if all continues in the current direction, there won’t be much left in the next decade.
**This was my first trip to NOLA post COVD shutdown.
We chose a late zone and went to breakfast, but once the zones began being called they were a bit slow. No doubt many were sneaking through when it wasn’t their turn..
