Review summary

This was a good getaway but not the cruise to really relax. It was loud with mediocre food. There were plenty of activities on board and the crew did a good job keeping folks engaged.

Embarkation

The staff in New Orleans has an attitude problem. Rude and yelling (to be heard). Problem is, the yelling makes the New Orleans accent even more difficult to understand. They could do better.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Mediocre at best...Steakhouse and brunch was good. Pizza wasn't bad. However, Guy's, Blue Iguana, Buffet, MDR and Deli were nothing more than something to knock hunger in the head. Probably the worst food I've had thus far on Carnival.

Cabin / Stateroom

Nothing negative really. It was a little noisy due to being across the hall from a crew workspace, but it wasn't really a problem.

Ship tip

Don't over expect. If you understand the crew hate the masks as much as we do, and be patient with them, it will be fine. Our cruise was a "party & hookup" cruise for sure....so as long as you understand that, you will have a good time.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

No excursion but COVID has NOLA scared to death. Public restrooms extremely hard to find in the city...a real problem if you are in dire need.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was super easy and the fastest we've ever gotten through it all. Kudos to the port staff for this. Just stop yelling....WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND YOU (same goes for USC&BP).
