Review summary

Amazing shorter cruise out of Galveston! Got to drive around Galveston AtM Campus which is neat because it’s my future college. Boarded early as some of the first on the ship. The decor looked goofy in videos, but it really was a great look. Cool American theme seen all through the ship. The food was good with little wait times and no major complaints worth noting. Our room stewards were good with only one exception they always seemed to have the service done very late. Even getting to mid afternoon for the morning cleaning service. Not a big deal and I chalked it up to maybe being at the end of there assigned section. Read a ton and really relaxed, for we didn’t even get off the boat the whole trip. We’ve been to Cozumel a number of times and let’s be real with no excursions Progreso kind of sucks. TJ the cruise director was good and entertaining, but we didn’t see him much as we don’t really do all the events and stuff. Comedians were great it was my first time seeing the adult shows. I also won spring chicken as the youngest platinum onboard for my second cruise in a row; which is embarrassing and funny at the same time. Overall the trip was great and I would highly recommend the Valor, but being we normally do a week long it did feel short, but of course that’s entirely a personal preference and nothing against the ship.
