Review summary

Great cruise. I like the mid-size ships better than the large ones. Staff was incredible, kids clubs were great, food was okay, drinks were flowing and sun was shining - what more can you ask for? :)

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Organized, people were friendly - couldn't have asked for better.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room and specialty restaurants were pretty darn good. Buffet was just "meh".

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Everything was fun and just as expected!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were pretty good. Only complaint is that the comedy shows were at the same time as the shows... they did have a later showing but that was the "Rated R" showing.. my son wanted to see the PG comedy shows and the music/performance shows (as did I) but not a huge deal... just would have been nice to be able to catch both.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
My 11 y/o thought the Ocean Club (or whatever it's called) was a little too "baby" for him but they let him in the "Circle C" club and he had a blast - begged to go back each night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The ship personnel make cruising what it is! They make you feel so special and well-cared for. Marvin in the dining room was hands-down fantastic.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Showing it's age with some rust - only "cleanliness" complaint was with the windows - they were pretty bad compared to other lines we've sailed on.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Beds were comfortable, LOTS of storage which was nice. Cabin is starting to show it's age (worn carpet and stained curtains) but it was clean and kept tidy.

Ship tip

Get the drink package (we usually do but didn't on this one - would have rather had it)

Disembarkation

The cruise director said it went very smoothly - it just took a lot longer than other ships I've been on. I felt like we waited for a really long time after they started dismissing everyone. We got there at 8, they started calling zones at 9:00 and we weren't off the ship until 10:30 or so. It was organized well, just not sure what took so long.
