Review summary

Was a wonderful cruise. This was our 1st cruise and now plan on many more. Only bad part is that the Valor is moving to NOLA. So next summer we can't book for this ship anymore. As we live in Texas and like going out of Galveston. Already booked Freedom which from what I see is similar to the Valor, hope the crew is as nice!

Smooth as we had FTTF for this cruise. We didn't relies our room was ready when we got on board until we stopped a crew member and she told us our room has been ready!

Gen at the omelet making station was awesome! She remembered my husband and I and our order by the third morning! She was such a hard worker and so sweet and friendly!!

Our Steward Asmail was so great! He always made sure we had what we needed! Room service always brought coffee every morning when we called in a timely manner!

So far I’ve cruised on the Magic twice and Valor once. Next is the Vista in July 2019! I think I prefer the larger, newer ships, but others will say they prefer the older smaller ships. Something for everyone!

We feel your pain. We fell in Love with the Carnival Valor when she was at Port Canaveral. Then she moved. (Because the Carnival Liberty had/has mechanical issues and couldn't make the long cruises on time. Now the Carnival Liberty only does 3 or 4 day cruises. No more seven day cruises)We were robbed of our favorite ship.

We prefer not to fly so it's at least a 2 day drive to any port. We actually decide what islands we want to go to then find a ship that gets us there. We've been on several twice. Haven't found a Carnival so that we didn't like. Enjoy cruising!

You won’t be disappointed with the freedom. It’s also a conquest class ship. We have been on both valor and freedom. As far as crew goes carnival has never failed us in that department. They are always smiling, and go out of their way to help you. Thanks for the review and happy cruising in the future. #choosefun

Been on both they are pretty much the same. Sorry but the ships change ports a lot just when you get use to one it moves along. But everyone I’ve been on I’ve enjoyed. I try not to get small older ships unless they have been refurbished. And they must have Balcony Cabins

Hey fellow texan! We got the Vista now so look into a Havana cabin u will love love it. Also i highly recommend the Magic if u get a chance to get on that ship its my most favorite. Welcome to Carnival!!! 🏖🍹🛳🌴

If you loved Valor then you'll really love some of the others. Valor is actually my least favorite. I mean compared to the others. But it's like great compared to greater. LOL

Glad you had a great first cruise ! It’s addicting ! I’ve been on the Valor (last year ) and just got off the Freedom a few weeks ago ....they are very similar and about the same size....you will Love ! ❤️
