Review summary

FOR OUR FIRST TIME CRUISING THIS WAS GREAT. I AM EXCITED TO BOOK MY NEXT ONE.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
there were 8 of us. We had a wheelchair person in our party The staff lead us straight through as a group through the lines. Once we got to the first counter to provide ID there was an issue with 2 of the people in our party as far as needing to see customer service. There was another issue with about 4 of us that our pass wouldn't scan but the staff took care of that. It seemed to take longer than expected but we finally were all allowed into the security line. We made it through there OK. Once we got to the customer service counter they quickly help us and got everything straight. Then we boarded the boat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall it was a great experience. We did the fine dinning 3 out of 4 nights. I thought there would have been a bigger selection of more exotic foods but I was happy with our choices. We were all able to experience something we hadn't before. Our server Edgar was excellent. He remembered all 8 of our names and what we liked. As for the drinks we had the Bubbles package for the kids and they loved it. 2 of the adults had the Cheers package and that worked out well. The thing with the Cheers package is that once you reach your 15 drink limit they totally cut you off no more drinks allowed at all. For one of us that was great :0) With the Cheers package you also go unlimited soda, water bottles, and coffee. The drink selections were great prices were high had you been paying cash so I strongly suggest the Cheers and Bubbles package.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
THERE WERE VARIOUS AMOUNTS OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUSIC DEPENDING ON TIME OF DAY AS WELL AS THE AREA. I REALLY ENJOYED THE VIOLINISTS THEY WERE AWESOME.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
THEY HAVE 3 DIFFERENT CLUBS RANGING BY AGE. WE MADE USE OF 2 OF THE CLUBS. MY GRANDKIDS LOVED THEIR ROOM. THEY WERE ABLE TO PLAY WITH OTHER KIDS THEIR AGE AND THE STAFF KEPT THEM BUSY. MY TEENAGE SON WAS IN THE O2 CLUB THAT IS FOR 15-17. HE REALLY LIKED THE STAFF MEMBER RAMON. HE WAS VERY KIND AND HELPFUL. MY SON WAS ABLE TO PLAY GAMES AND BOND WITH ABOUT 5 OTHERS IN HIS AGE GROUP. I THINK THEY WILL BE LIFELONG FRIENDS.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT WE HAD THE BEST EXPERIENCE WITH THE STAFF. OUR ROOM STEWARD (CANT RECALL HIS NAME) MADE SURE WE HAD FRESH TOWELS AND CLEAN LINEN AT ALL TIMES AND WAS JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY IF WE NEEDED SOMETHING SPECIAL. AND OUR WAITER EDGAR IN THE LINCOLN DINNING HALL WAS EXCEPTIONAL. I ALSO SEEMED TO ALWAYS GET LOUIS WHEN NEEDING HELP AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HE WAS AMAZING, VERY KIND AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. THE LIFEGUARD ANER IN THE POOL AREA WAS SO GRACIOUS TO MOVE A COUPLE OF THE ROCKING CHAIRS FROM ONE DECK TO ANOTHER TO ACCOMMODATE OUR WHEELCHAIR PERSON.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
OVERALL THE SHIP WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL KEPT

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
CABIN WAS VERY CLEAN AND MODERATELY COMFORTABLE. BATHROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND WELL STOCKED

Ship tip

TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS IN YOUR PARTY I SUGGEST STICKY NOTES OR MAGNETIC TABLET. ALL THE WALLS ARE METAL SO TAKE MAGNETIC HOOKS THAT WILL HELP IN THE ROOM AS WELL

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
AGAIN WE HAD A WHEELCHAIR-BOUND PERSON SO WE HAD FIRST OFF ACCESS. WE MEET IN A SPECIFIED AREA AT 8 AM UNTIL THE BOAT WAS DOCKED AT 9. WE WERE ONE OF THE FIRST OFF THE SHIP. IT WAS A RATHER FAST PROCESS.
