Review summary

This is our 4th cruise with Carnival. We can't seem to ever try another cruise line because Carnival always does it all right. We took the Valor to the Western Caribbean( Grand Cayman,Rotan, Belize, Cozumel) and all the ports were great. The excursions through the cruise were very nice and well organized. Everything short of the bill at the end of the trip was awesome. The bill was all my doing so i cant complain about that, though the drinks are pretty high. They have to make it up somewhere though because the cruise was cheap! It was smooth sailing from the time we checked in to the time we got off...not even one problem to complain about.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was very good overall

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was great and had good variety and talent. The Kids loved the shows also.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Can't say much about the Kids camp because our kids stayed entertained with the pool, golf, slide, volleyball and basketball...o and ice cream the whole time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Top notch. Everyone was so nice. They all greet you everywhere even in the halls. Hard to go back to the real world where you hardly ever get great service anymore!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Though this ship is a few years old it looks brand new. Very clean, nice layout and the ride was very smooth, hardly ever felt the sea. No bad smells anywhere!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We opted for the most basic room with no window on floor 2 and it was perfect. If you want to sleep good don't get a window. I know you always pay less for lower levels but i cant figure out why. It was quite. We were in front so we were one level from the show room and one level down to hit the ports so that was great. Hop in the elevator and went right to the exercise room. There are issues about distance wherever you are at as far as front and back but the elevator takes about 10 secs so the floors don't seem to matter.

Pros: Loved the Ship and the Ports

Cons: Drink prices are pretty high
