Carnival Valor

Sail date: September 01, 2009

Ship: Carnival Valor

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Our overall impressions of the ship was beyond our standards, because we went on Royal Carribean last year and the Carnival Valor was nothing like the Royal Carribean cruise we went on. So many more things to see, do, places to go, and not enough time to do all of them.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The best thing about dinner was the head waiter (Milagres) and assistant waiter (Conrado) and the choices for dinner. Also, what was excellent, was Saowanee, who worked at the Burrito Bar and made excellent burritos for myself and my wife.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The ship staff quality went above & beyond the call of duty to make our cruise excellent. Especially, our head/assistant waiter at dinner (table 329, Milagres/Conrado), and our stateroom steward (Hendro) were excellent. Coming back to our room and seeing a different towel animal every night was great!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The balcony was a great plus in our stateroom. We're gonna get a blacony everytime we go on a cruise from now on!

Pros: Excursions (Grand Cayman, Honduras, Belize, Cozumel)

Cons: Not being able to use cash on board!!
