Review summary

It was fantastic. We will be going on another cruise. It is a great beginner cruise for anyone. The wait staff in the dining room was great. Yasa and his staff needed to come home with us!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We got checked in so quick and was on the ship in a matter of just a few minutes to begin our fun in the sun!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything we ate was fantastic. Yasa and his team in the Paris Lower dining room (we were at table 501 and 505)--- words cannot describe! We were cruising with 13 people. We never had to wait for anything! They were so attentive to us that I wish I could have them at my house everyday! They made us feel like kings and queens. They joked around with us and made it a truly fun time to be there.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We went swimming, did the waterslide, watched 2 shows, did the Battle of the Sexes, and just chilled on the deck. I do think that with the size of the ship, that the pools should have been bigger. They were quite crowded.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The 2 shows we saw (Wonderful World and the New Orleans show) were great. The music and dancers were very entertaining. Everywhere we turned there was music, comedians and bands. Never a dull moment!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters were absolutely fantastic! Yasa (Paris Lower dining room) and his staff were undeniably the best on the ship! We only saw our room steward twice the entire time. We felt that we were left out, because things that others in our party were getting from him (same steward for them and us) we never got. We did tip him when we saw him, but that didn't seem to matter. Others had their blue towels laid out in plain site, ours were put in with the life vests on the very last day! It was disappointing to think that because we didn't see him (and maybe tipped him less than the others did, that he didn't give everyone the same treatment). We gave him $40 on top of what was taken out by Carnival. Not everyone can afford to tip big.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything on the ship was clean and well maintained. We had no problems!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was good. However, the sofa couch was way too small for a grown up to sleep on as the 3 person in the room. It needed to at the very lease be a pull out bed of some sort like they have in hospitals. A 5'10" person cannot sleep on a 4ft love seat.

Ship tip

Sit back, relax and enjoy it. It flies by way to fast!

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana Did not visit port

Live in Port Allen, LA--- Have been there many times

It was BEAUTIFUL! Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. We went to Mr. Sancho's resort. We will definitely me going back. It was just a short taxi ride there and back. Hector was our waiter there... Simply wonderful. We truly enjoyed our time there!

Disembarkation

Quick, easy and no stress at all! Staff really have it down to a science!
