Review summary

Don't go in the Winter. It is too cold to lounge on decks and there is nothing but trivia and shopping for entertainment. The ship itself is great, but food is poor. This was our first cruise and last. Instead of planning our next cruise, we are planning our land trip to St Croix.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy embarkation due to having faster to the fun.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Mediocre at best. People compared the buffet to Golden Corral. I was ok with that because I like Golden Corral. The buffet was way worse than Golden Corral with very limited food options. The only good parts were salad and deserts. The MDR was not good. The meat had lots of fat. Guys burgers were pretty good- better than fast food but not as good as 5 guys. JiJi's lunch was awesome. Deli was not very good- everything premade with slick sliced meat in center of sandwich, so you only ate half a sandwich.

Onboard Activities

Comedy club was great. 80's party was fun. The Epic Rock show was good. During the day, activities were pretty boring. Since it was too windy to enjoy the deck areas and lounge by the pool, the Sea days were boring. Also, all the fun activities were late night. Some people (like me) rise early to see sunrises with a cup of coffee. We don't party all night but would like to have activities during the day (besides trivia, casino and shopping).

Entertainment

5 out of 5
This was the best part of cruise. Comedy club, Epic Rock show were entertaining.

Service and Staff

Everybody as polite except the guy dishing out the bacon at the buffet (the bacon was gross by the way). The nicest people were those that came around and removed the dirty dishes.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I loved the ship. It was easy to get around it and did not seem too crowded. It was clean and no one appeared to be sick.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
My cabin was as expected. Everything worked well and I was comfortable.

Ship tip

Don't skip Junkanoo Beach in Nassau, thinking you will have a beach day at Half Moon Cay. Because you probably will not get Half Moon Cay. Seems like it is skipped half the time.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Did not visit port

We were literally in line to take the tender and told we would not be going.

Disembarkation

What a mess. We had faster to the fun and were in Liquid Lounge waiting to disembark. Luggage was everywhere. There was a hold up with security or something and no communication on why we were sitting for 30 minutes. We were finally allowed to leave and others who were not diamond/platinum/faster to the fun were leaving at the same time.
