Review summary

This place is absolutely beautiful! Sand is like powder! Water is crystal clear. If you plan to eat the buffet, get there as soon as it opens if not before. The lines are long...just be patient (or eat a big breakfast on the ship!)

Embarkation

I chose the 12:30 arrival time. Was expecting it to be chaotic but was on the ship within 15 minutes or so. Very easy experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

I ate in the MDR for elegant night only. Although I had your time dining, I went to the scheduled dinner time with my friend, which required a little bit of a wait, but was worth it. Really enjoyed the crab cake and clam chowder for my appetizer and the Greek stuffed pepper for my entree. I mainly ate at the Lido buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the variety. Everything was so fresh and delicious with the exception of the breakfast biscuits. But hey, it was just one biscuit! Guy's Burger Joint: OMG! A must!! The pizza is available 24 hours a day. There were only 4 to choose from the menu, which seemed to have upset some people, but the one crew member appeared to have been there 24 hours making the pizzas. The pizza was just okay, in my opinion, but again, the crew was working extremely hard! Didn't eat at the specialty restaurants but will take advantage of those on my next cruise.

Onboard Activities

The pool was a little small. Waterworks and the games in that area seemed to be a hit with families. I wish I could have stayed up there longer, but my good ol' vertigo dictated me to go to the lower deck.

Entertainment

Had a great time dancing on the Lido deck on the first day. DJ Flex had us rocking in the Limelight Lounge! The only downside to it was the actual size of the lounge. Attended the comedy club in the Limelight Lounge and had to stand the entire time. The comedian was so funny that the standing wasn't even an issue. One night, the deck party was moved to one side of the Serenity Deck. Not sure why, but I stayed on the Lido Deck due to the high winds...and just being a chicken!

Service and Staff

The entire ship personnel works HARD from sun up to sun down!!! Much respect to them all!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I have not been on any other ships (yet) to compare the layout and design. The crew was constantly cleaning the ship. I only smelled sewage on the last night in certain areas...but hey, it's thousands of people onboard! The Serenity Deck was okay. I thought it would be a little more shaded. Still nice.

Ship tip

Be patient and respectful, especially to staff. Be prepared to meet some friendly people. The best shaded area is in the smoking section. Have lots of fun!!!
