Review summary

For the first 3 days of our cruise, we experienced loud bangs followed by shudders in our stateroom. Being our first cruise, we assumed this was normal. It was terrible difficult to sleep at night. Then we heard that other people were experiencing it as well. The ship constantly smelled like sewer. The food was mediocre. The entertainment was good. The overpriced drinks were watered down. So disappointed we were not able to go to Amber Cove.

Would love to have visited! Had an excursion booked. But our captain had not allowed for the winds and currents and so arrived too late for us to be able to dock

The Fantasy smelled terrible of sewage. I know exactly what you mean. Some areas were worse than others. People critiquing reviews need to grow up. Stay off the app! It's someone's experience. You have your own. If you disagree, fine, but keep scrolling.

Once you cruise more and more, you learn the areas to pick for your rooms, we always pick floors 7 and up, has always worked for us. We have always enjoyed Carnivals food, especially in the fine restaurants.

Seems like overall you had a good cruise though! Everyone has their own opinion of things and you’re not the first person to say it smelled like sewer! When I was on the conquest there was a steam room beside our cabin that would have loud bangs as well. It really made for a crappy time as I was tired the whole time from lack of sleep. They ended up comping us $300 because I had on video how loud it was!! At the beginning they didn’t believe me 😕
