Review summary
This was a second cruise with the Sunshine. We like this ship (one of a kind). I commented separately regarding the food options. The lunch food layout makes Sunshine better than the other ships in my opinion. The cruise Director (Mikey) was the best one we have experienced. He sets the standards for all others to follow. Full of energy though out...incredible. I was equally impressed with his sincerity during the Military Appreciation meeting. Not to take away from other Cruise Directors, but you can tell his feelings were real. You really believed he had your back with every aspect of the cruise. Debarkation was the fasted ever experiences. Often times, people do not listed an crowd the main deck. Mikey kept is clear and we had no delays in leaving when our level was called. We try to get Early Dining, but ended up with Our Time Dining. We actually liked the way it was arranged on Sunshine and would select our time dining again, if going to the Sunshine. You pre-register at the Ocean Plaza. This made it much easier then crowding the main entrance of the dining facility as we did on other ships. The low grade regarding the stateroom would only be because of the lack of light. Almost half the lights were burnt out. We were informed that they ran out of the particular light bulb we needed. Lunch options are best on this ship with the Lido buffet extending all the way aft (Havana Bar, JiJi's and Italian restaurant. Having all the extra area along with Mongolian BBQ, Cuban food and Pasta adds to the choices and reduces the crowding.
