Review summary

Carnival Sunshine was a great ship. We enjoyed everything except the excessive smoke billowing out of the casino into the Atrium. Ventilation was lacking in that area of the ship.

Embarkation

Shuttle service from hotel to port was efficient. Considering all the people that must board, it was quite good. Improved check in with Carnival's new addition of hand held devices by employees.

Generally, all food we enjoyed was good. Fahrenheit 555 offered exceptional food and service. We all ordered something different and each was excellent.

From start to finish, the dining experience was flawless. Wonderful food without question. Servers were prompt and efficient.

Sunrise Dining Room

All Sunrise Dining Room food was served promptly and efficiently. We enjoyed breakfast every day and suppers for a few days since we chose other dining venues for a couple of special events.

Onboard Activities

Since I broke my foot ten days previous, I didn't get to enjoy the many activities they offered. Maybe next time!!

Perfect cabin! The view was spectacular. I would definitely choose this cabin again. Cabin is located just above the Bridge, so we were able to see every thing the Captain could see.

Port was friendly. We did a self guided tour with a taxi driver who took us to Casa Colonial Hotel for lunch....waited for us while we dined and then continued our island tour. We could stop where we wanted for as long as we desired. Definitely the way we will tour again since we were not hauled around like cattle on a bus.
