Review summary

We truly enjoyed the cruise itself and the staff. Great memories in each of the ports of call. Wonderful food and relaxed atmosphere was very nice. The disembarkation experience??? Not so much.

Embarkation

Perfectly fine

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dining time was too late for us and we were unable to change it in spite of setting our cruise date many many months in advance

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Activities were fine. Adding an indoor Golf game would help a lot

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Over-crowding and lack of seating were an issue QUality of the entertainment itself was great

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful staff

Ship Quality

We were in room 1624 on deck 1. About 10 rooms forward of the elevator area on left side there was a short area where the floor sloped. My wife (64 years old) stumbled there and fell hard bruising her knee. A bit of it was clumsiness... But a "slope floor ahead" sign might have helped initially. After she fell... each time we had to go that way... we all laughingly "warned her."

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Perfectly acceptable. We realize on a cruise that space is an issue and cabins chosen have different amenities... But I really missed my recliner at home. :)

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

Loved the city... cab to lighthouse and back... Walked around town

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
Beautiful little city

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Beautiful city... friendly people. But limited options on things to do. Strolled the Boardwalk.

Disembarkation

This was an absolute zoo. We get it that customs held things up. But embarking on the buses? What a joke. Added high level of stress when it was so unnecessary. Cannot depend on Carnival for this part. Looks like we'll have to take a limo in the future and carry out luggage off ourselves.

We’ve learned to do self-assessed we just keep our luggage and walk right off the ship right to our car .
