Review summary

Food is not that great, the same most of the time , with no variation and meat is rough. Food no taste and very blend. Could have put in little effort to make it tasted better. Other shipmate said the same thing .

Food must be improved to competed with the larger ship , due to the ship already too small to compared with others. Announcement should be more on the PA. It should hv more guided personnel.

On the sunshine I found food I didn't like (the roast beef ick!!) made a mental check mark and moved on. What was great was not having to cook or wonder why dirty plates were left in the sink...God I can't wait for my next cruise

Everyone should understand that people exist that will not be satisfied with anything, no matter bathe quality. I was once on a Celebrity cruise when I felt the food,service and everything else was impeccable, but a family memes complained constantly because her vacation was ruined because the steward didn't leave a towel animal the first night. Idiots and unbelievably privileged are all over.

I haven't seen that, but that would be nice. Some people are nice about it, but a lot of people are rude simply because another person had a bad experience. I just don't see why it matters. If I love something and another person doesn't then who cares. I'm not going to shame them because they didn't experience what I did. Different strokes for different folks.

My experience with this app is that people who provide negative feedback in a respectful and objective way are thanked and given good wishes for the next time. Those who share their experience in a nasty way, including taking pot shots at people who work hard pretty much around the clock for 6/8 months at a time, draw a nasty response and pretty much deserve it.

@Mace very true, me and my husband travel for great food. Entertainment shows we can care less about, whereas others might love entertainment shows.

Let me just say most of the food is crap! But it doesn't mean I shouldn't cruise. People want to be able to share there experiences without being put down and told what they should and should not do. If the person would've said " damn all the food was great and I had a blast" everyone would've been happy and would've just liked the comment lol pointless in trying

mace , I agree with you BUT if you are going to review the ship you were on then review the entire experience. Don't give 2 stars just because you didn't like the food!! How about stateroom steward, waitstaff, bar, serenity area, entertainment, etc., etc.???😎😎

I actually thought the food was a little better on this boat oct 17 than on spendor last year in November. But it all needed a little salt lol

We were on the Sunshine and had early dining. Staff and food were superb. If anything wasn't right they make it right. Funny we sail RCCL, Celebrity, Norwegian and Carnival and feel Carnival has the best regular dining room food

We have been on the Sunshine several times and enjoyed the food. We can't do spicy so it was good for us. There are so many choices you are bound to find something you like.

@mace that's what I'm trying to understand. I literally want to hear both sides. I actually like to hear good and bad experiences. I want details. I want to get a better picture on what to expect. I just hope people won't hesitate to share their experiences because of other people's immature comments.

Why do people get rude and nasty every time someone says they didn't like something or had a bad time on a ship? I've been on 13 cruises and a couple of times the food wasn't so great. Remember we are called individuals for a reason not everyone is the same. So don't be an ass every time someone doesn't like something. That is all

We find the food between Royal and Carnival to be about the same. No complaints either way. But I don't cruise for the food so I don't care. All we care about is we don't have to lift a finger and work.

Chefs prepare for 3800 not 3800 individual meals 3 times a day. Bland for you may be too spicy for others, put ketchup on yours.

The sunshine has a lot of options so we find it easy to locate the better quality stuff. No doubt there's some blah stuff too and agree it shouldn't be that difficult to add some flavor. For the most part we avoid the buffet, but then again some people can't get enough of it.
