Review summary

Good cruise overall - would like to see better food selections, working refrigerator in rooms and no saving of chairs on the sun decks. Some days it was impossible to find chairs because people had towels draped on them (and the people were nowhere to be found for hours). Music/entertainment was excellent (except the comedy shows). Always could find something to do.

Compared to prior cruises, the menu selections were not extraordinary - I'm used to having many choices of variety types of foods. Some nights I struggled to find something I liked. Long lines at the buffet and the food was mediocre.

We REALLY enjoyed the Carnival Sunrise Rockband that played in the Redfrog Pub. They played a lot of different types of music and were very, very good. In addition, the 3 shows in the main showroom were AMAZING. Sometimes cruise ship entertainment can be "cheesey" - but I was very pleased!! However, the Comedy shows could definitely use improvement.

Excellent service - but did wait a bit for drinks in the casino - and at one point, my drink never came.

Ship was a little confusing to navigate. Did smell sewage at times - but the common areas were free of garbage and kept clean.

Cabin size was good for 3 of us. We brought wine, pop and water onboard and found the refrigerator did not work which was very disappointing.

Thank you for reviewing. Most of the rooms refrigerators are just chillers and not super cold on Sunrise. Tip is to prop door slightly open with a washcloth and you do notice a difference in temp.
