Review summary

We had a nice time. The entire Sunrise staff was great. We did not have a single negative experience with any Carnival employee.

Embarkation

The terminal was clean and communication was good. We arrived at 10:00 and boarding started at 11:00.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The food in the MDR was good. There was always a table available within a few minutes. The BBQ and Italian venues were nice for lunch.

Onboard Activities

There was plenty to do. The three stage shows were great. The Motown dance party in the atrium was the highlight of the cruise. Deck chairs were hard to come by on the sea day.

Entertainment

The three shows were great. We had not seen Latin Nights, Soulbound and Vintage Pop previously. There were lots of chances to hear live music every day.

Ship Quality

The decor is very nice and was very clean. The venues seem small for a ship this size. One can only get from forward to aft on Deck 5 or on one of the cabin decks.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an inside cabin on the first deck. It was nicely decorated and seemed more spacious than other inside cabins. This was the first cabin we've had without metal walls. We could only use magnetic hooks on the two doors

Ship tip

Try to be considerate of your fellow passengers. Please don't have loud conversations in the hallways at 1:00 AM or show up 30 minutes late for the shows and block the views for those who showed up on time by looking for front row seats.

Nassau, Bahamas

Lots of construction. We walked a bit and returned to the ship. We typically treat Nassau like a sea day.

Very smooth with good communication from the CD. We hoped to stay on the ship longer than we did. 😀
