Review summary

We had a great time on our cruise overall and enjoyed the mix of exciting ports of call and onboard activities. The staff on the ship were phenomenal and we never got bored. The only problem was the embarkation process where two of our three party members got stopped for not having the right documents (not true) and one of our party was forced to stay behind in Miami.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
I was pulled aside and given a hard time because they thought I didn't have the right COVID documentation even though I did. My other friend was pulled aside for not having the right visa to travel (she's Korean) even though she did. She did not make it onto the cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
There was a great variety of food and drinks at all hours of the day, including some very fancy and interesting varieties such as alligator and mussels. Not all of the dishes were outstanding though, but quite average.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We had an amazing time at the spa and enjoyed the waterslides, though we did not get to try all the activities we wanted.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the shows and the evening movies.

Children's Programs

We did not bring children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters, room stewards, and spa personnel were all fantastic and went above and beyond to make us feel cared for.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The cleanliness of the ship was mostly good though at times some of the upper deck bathrooms got gross. The decor was beautiful, but it took us a long time to get the hang of navigating around the decks as some portions of the decks could only be accessed from specific stairwells/elevators. We sometimes got lost.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Though it was a small room, given the price we paid, it met all of our needs and was kept quite clean and comfortable.

Ship tip

Bring excess documentation for your embarkation. More is better than less.
