First cruise back after the shutdown and our first cruise with our son. It was great! Our first NYE cruise and that was a lot of fun. I wish we had done the ropes course and seen more shows but, there's just not enough time in a day! Fun and fabulous ship and crew!
Embarkation

We had an issue due to our son being vaccinated after I'd gotten the waiver due to his age. After that very minor holdup, it was smooth sailing.

Food and Dining

We had your time dining and ate dinner in the MDR each night. Never had a wait for our 3 person group. Food was delicious. We had Guys burgers and BBQ, pasta, room service, the Deli, Bonsai Sushi and buffet for other meals. No disappointments. At the Deli the BLT is fabulous!! Guy's burger for breakfast was better than I expected. Fantastic sushi! Of course the Sea Day Brunch can't be missed.
Your Time Dining

I've only ever had early dining and was nervous about wait times. We never had to wait. We still seemed to end up at dinner around 6 anyway but, it was nice to have the flexibility of showing up at 6:15 and not be too late.

Felt very elegant with great food and service.
Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que

Short line on embarkation day. The chicken was a tad dry but the rest made up for it.
Guy's Burger Joint

My husband and son loved their burgers. My breakfast burger was great.

Best drinks ever! The Pineapple Chipotle Martini is my favorite.
Onboard Activities

The main pool and whirlpools were nice, crowded as expected but not too bad. Arcade was small but fun (adds up quickly), mini golf was a good distraction to pass a little time. Dive-in movies are always fun. Lots of trivia with topics for everyone. Never a lack of fun things to do.
Cloud 9 Spa

Had a massage on embarkation day. She talked me into another one at the same great price or an upgrade to a seaweed massage at also a great discount. I did it and it was so worth it. I've never had a mud wrap and it was very nice.
Mini Golf

Fun free activity. Nobody was up there when we went after dinner.
Main Pool

Refreshing with nice music or movies on. Easy access to drinks and snacks. Hard to find 3 seats together at times but not impossible.
Carnival WaterWorks

Fun waterslides and the splash pad is great for a quick cool off.
Entertainment

Vintage Pop was full of energy and talent. Lots of great music throughout. The one comedian on board made us all laugh, my 10 hear old especially loved seeing live jokes. Azar the magician was AMAZING!! He did a show and was at dinner a couple times, we're still in awe.
Carnival Seaside Theater

Don't expect to be able to pay incredibility close attention in such a public arena but, it is the best way to watch a movie. Nothing like sitting in a hot tub in the middle of the ocean watching Ryan Reynolds.
Main Show Lounge

Sat in a few different locations and the sound and view were good.
Service and Staff

As always, friendly, happy and exceptional crew. MDR staff went above and beyond each night to get my son smiling and comfortable. They were patient and let him work up the guts to place his own order. Never looking to me to hurry him up. He felt so grown up and seen. Our room steward Rabbie was very nice and his team had a lot of work with our room but we tried to help them out as much as we could.
Ship Quality

The ship was always clean and well maintained. As with all ships I assume, there are some decks that have no through access and MAN that can be frustrating till you get used to it. Other than that, the layout makes sense. The ship is small enough that you can learn your way around relatively quickly.
Cabin / Stateroom

Very comfortable bed. Lovely large balcony. No room around the bed though. Maybe 6 inches between the window and bed. On the other side is the couch but we left it as the bed, with the table it worked for us. Not much shelf space for 3 people's clothes. Overall not a bad size though
We just took the tram to Paradise Beach. Not a lot to do yet being a new port but, we swam and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. On the pier we saw sharks and stingrays. For $0 it was a GREAT day.
We carried off our luggage, other than a long wait for an elevator (which we expected) it was quick. Once you're out of the building though it's a mess. No good signage of where to go for transportation unless it's an Uber.
