Please read people before you call yourself trying to go on a cruise that you cannot even get on. Carnival is asking their guests to go get a Covid Test done before boarding the ship or be be vaccinated. But you can still be vaccinated and you still need a covid test done within 48 hours. But just like any other company they changed their rules on a daily basis and we did not know that things had changed. We flew from New Orleans to Miami and I made all eight of us take a PCR test not a rapid test a PCR test that Wednesday evening before we flew out Thursday. We didn't get on the boat until Saturday morning so that was more than enough time that was needed. But the website said 72 hours for vaccinated guess and then they switched it to 48 hours. If you're unvaccinated you have now 72 hours to go and take a COVID-19 test to get on the boat. Which is definitely backwards to me. If your test results have not came back in time you have the option to pay for a covid test on site which is $100 bucks. But some people were definitely trying to get on the boat and they just got their Covid Test done hours before trying to step on the ship. So please read all fine print. Please get your test done on time. If if you were handicapped it was very easy to get on the ship by showing your covid vaccination card your ID and your test results they barely even looked at it but my friends in the regular Lane had problems with they're negative test results saying that they should have taken them Thursday instead of Wednesday. But due to them switching it at the last minute my friends were able to take a free covet test because of carnivals era. Do not let them make you pay for that extra test that is money you can spend on the boat and just try to stay calm I can tell you now I was not about to let my friends pay $600.

We love how we arrive to the room and it was laid out already for four people

Ship tip

Try not to compare it to the new boats. I sailed on a new boat in 2020 and now that I have gotten on an older boat I miss the new boat.

Thanks for review. It always pays to read your email and double-check anything you agree too when checking in and a few days prior to leaving on any trip. Glad it worked out for you.

Sorry you missed the update from Carnival. We had to agree to the 48 hours when we completed our boarding paperwork (along with the standard contract).

I'm sorry, but with the way things are today with all the Covid, ALL the cruise lines are changing things as they feel or are told the must. It is up to the passengers to keep up with it leading up to your cruise. So it is only right that if you failed to follow along with the changes that you are charged for the test at the port.
