This was a mother and sons trip. We had a great time and can’t wait to sail on Carnival Sunrise again for Christmas.

So smooth! No crowd at all. Took approximately 10 minutes total

Food and Dining

Food overall was really good- much better than food we had from Carnival in the past. Sea day brunch service was a bit slow but the food was fantastic!!! Cucina Italian restaurant is worth the upcharge. The steakhouse was decent- the steak just needed a tad more salt. But overall food was good. We avoided the buffet due to COVID and it still being self serve- there are several non buffet options available.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
There were only a few kids on board. Our 16 year old enjoyed the kids club and they were amazing with him- he’s autistic. He loved going there. Our 12 year old did not attend his kids club because there were only a couple kids present.

Service and Staff

Service was exceptional as usual.

Ship tip

Use the deck maps. Especially trying to get to the sunshine restaurant. You have to go up to Deck 5 and walk down to 3 or 4 because you cannot pass always through these decks. It was a little tricky.

We had early disembarkation and was off the ship quickly. I do think it would have been a little quicker if the facial recognition computers worked properly.

Thanks for the tip about locating the dining room. I sail on the Sunrise in two days, can't wait to feel the motion of the ocean again 😊
