Review summary

Overall, this was my favorite cruise Ive been on so far. We sailed at 50% capacity (according to cruise director) and 4% unvaccinated (according to Maitre'd). You could really tell the difference it made as far as being safe, but also getting chairs, time in the pool, waiting on elevators. My wife and I joked that we wish we could always sail at 50%.

Cabin / Stateroom

My cabin was a basic interior room, so very typical. But it is on the lido deck. This was super convenient! Will stay on lido again for this ship or deck 5 due to ease of access to activities.

Ship tip

Be mindful of what floor youre going to. Some of the floors you cant walk all the way through. For example, deck 5 you can walk through but not on deck 4.

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Carnival posted a tour on the app called "beach getaway with lunch" but had no picture or description. We went to guest services and they described it as nice (its not Bamboo beach) so we took a chance and booked it. We loved it! We took a 30 min bus tour ride to Puerto Seco Beach Resort while we learned about Jamaica. Lunch was jerk chicken, salad, rice, escobar fish, and it was all good. We listened to Bob Marley on the ride back to the ship. The only unpleasant part was due to COVID the port authorities said we had to go directly from the bus to the ship and we werent allowed to shop in the port. Even though people not on an excursion were able to walk off the port and even go to the island village center where Margaritaville is and shop.

Bimini, Bahamas

I did the beach club 360 excursion. Many people complained, but we loved it. You get off a short pier and go directly to a tram that drops you off at the beach club. Then you sit wherever you want. Food was pretty expensive, and be forewarned of taxes. Cocktails were $12 but with tax it was $15, and they auto added 18% gratuity. The water was so clear I got a sunburn on my legs. Great views of the ship from the water as well. There were some jelly fish in the water every once in a while, but thats nature for ya. My picture adding feature is broken, but Id definitely go back and maybe rent a golfcart this time, which was $60.

Miami, Florida

Miami was excellent to sail out of, but the port is a bit confusing. We kept going in circles around the parking garage trying to find the entrance.
