You could set amount, bring cash or I purchase cruise cash prior to boarding and use that to stay in budget. Look at your folio daily and adjust spending accordingly.

If you want to have a set amount to spend and not go over definitely do cash. However if you’re not on a strict budget just upload your card and download the carnival app and you’ll be able to see a running balance that is updated after every time you use the card
