Review summary

After calling carnival to complain they basically laughed off the poor service and didn't care that the itinerary changed 2 times and that we only got to go to 3 ports instead of 4. Gave a $10 credit for not going to Cozumel. After paying $1500 a $10 credit for missing a port was a slap in the face.

Ship experiences

Slow service and was continually overlooked at the bar when trying to order drinks. Ship was understaffed. Waited as long as 30 min just to get a coke. Waited 1 hr during brunch one morning just to order food.

Worst service ever.

Ship Quality

Bathroom had no ventilation and felt like a sauna after showering. No a/c in bathroom

Cabin / Stateroom

Constantly complained to guest services and our cleaning guy about how hot the room was. All we wanted was a fan and guest services refused saying fans were withheld for people with disabilities. I woke up sweating 4 nights out of the 8 we were on the boat.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Waited 2 hrs just to get on the boat. We were on time and shouldn't have had to wait I know like this long just to get through security. We did get off the boat quick once we came back.

I got $16 and not $10 you got for Grand Turk port getting canceled because of damage caused by the hurricane. Everyone on your ship got the same amount as you did and i do not believe your comment you were laughed at.

Miserable

Too bad the cruise contract states they don’t owe you anything for a missed port other than the docking fees. 😘

GIL155    7 years ago

The $10 was probably the port fees. NOT any other kind of 'sorry' for your missed port.

Sorry should of checked ( they) and (going) .....

It probably would have be more than a slap in the face to let you off in a storm hey have a duty of care that's o keep all safe and if it means missing a port or going elsewhere well that's what has to be done ....

Then don't book during hurricane season.

P.S. What makes you assume that we are snippy and drink wine? Personally, I'm not much of a fan of wine...

Adriane6486    7 years ago

My response has nothing to do with legalities, it has to do with the fact that anyone who does their due diligence in planning for any vacation should have expected the possibility of an itinerary change and not expect compensation for such unforeseen circumstances. P.S.

thecreeper    7 years ago

He isn't talking legalities..he feels that the loss of a good port sucked and that he got 10 dollars was a slap in the face......on the cruises I have been on they do tend to offer more than 10 dollars.....we all hate snippy winers.....this guy isn't one of them....I think the responders are!

I agree with banaford and olldbob. Not their fault you didn't read the Terms & Conditions. I might feel bad about the "poor service" if you elaborated on what you consider poor service...unless you are calling it poor service because of the itinerary change and their response.

olldbob    7 years ago

read the t&c port changes can be changed or missed you only get your port tax back

banaford    7 years ago

All in your contract. On all cruiselines.
