Review summary

The best part was the sit down dinners each night.  The food was very nicely prepared and presented and the flavors were excellent.

Buffets less so.  Little variation from day to day and food was not very tasty.  Lines were long and sometimes had to go through two or three lines to build a meal.  One for salads, another for breads or pastries and a third for entries.

Did not go ashore at Belize due to potential rough seas at tender transfers.  other two were just shopping tourist traps.  No look at any "normal" shopping, business, or residential areas.  Could get no flavor of the communities without buying an over priced excursion.

Drinks (liquor) on board were way over priced.  About $6 for a bottle of beer and most hard liquor drinks were in the $10 range.

Room Service had a very limited menu.  None of the dining room menus were available from room service.

Ship tip

Try to find another cruise line. No direct path from one end of the ship to the other. Little variation in the buffets from day to day. Very limited (and uninformative) daily events schedule and movies shown in theatre were of $1 Red Box type.

I don't think you'll get a first release movie on a cruise ship due to the cost, it's entertainment. If you think paying $6.00 for a beer, then try getting a beer a any major league sports venue. Room service is room service no matter how much you have to order or how little. room service is mainly for after evening meals are closed or for in your room coffee and Danish. Safety is Safety, enjoy the port you are at. Have A Nice Day.

When a captain of a ship declares not to stop at a port for rough seas I think he's looking out for your safety and the safety of others. Nice job captain

First cruise? Why did you pick this cruise itinerary?

You did poor research if any and now you're upset. Ports aren't guaranteed and subject to change which is stated in the Cruise Contract that you agreed to. You didn't have to purchase excursions through the cruise line you have the option to use other sources Trip Advisor or when in the ports. As far as the drinks Carnival bar prices are far less than RC which is about $12 per drink and NCL which is around the same.
