Never Again!

Sail Date: February 14, 2016

Reviewed: 7 months ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Awful customer service.  Awful food (no seasoning) just over processed food...banquet style food for 7 nights/days.  More than half of our group of 40 got off the ship with virus.  One was diagnosed with Swine Flu!   I have been on land for 7 days and still sick as a dog and on antibiotics.  Non-existent service. Dirty common areas.  Will never set foot on a Carnival ship ever again and will talk anyone I know out of it in the future.   They might promote low cost travel, but boy do they charge you a pretty dollar for everything once on board!  $5 for a bottle of water.  Soda?  Yep, you will be charged for that too.  Beer and your everyday low cost will be charged $8 to $10 per drink.  Bacteria spreading everywhere on Carnival along with your debt.  I don't mind spending $ on good food and drinks, but this was comparable to bad buffet and low cost alcohol.  :(

Cabin / Stateroom
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Lines and Lines everywhere.
Ship Quality
More than half of our group went home SICK! At least one diagnosed with Swine Flu upon arrival at home.
Destinations and Excursions
Amber Cove that Carnival spent $84 Million on....was a joke. Run to the closest taxi stand and go to a 'local' beach as some of us did and enjoy what the island has to offer. Same with Grand Turks....Margaritaville at Grand Turks?!?!??!?!?! No thank you, grab me a cab and go to a local owned hotel with local food and beer and enjoyed serenity and paradise and then a private tour with a driver who gave us his tour of his island with stories behind it. Glad to escape all the Carnival tourist traps!!!
Onboard Activities
Service and Staff
The Casino Bartenders were awesome! The rest of them.... not so much. Left us waiting for endless waiting time for drinks.
Food and Dining
If you like Hometown Buffet, Olive Garden, Outback steak...then perhaps this is for you. If you are a foodie, TRUST ME, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED! When you go to ports...go and explore away from the tourist!!!!
