Review summary

We took the second cruise of the ship in July 2008, a tour of several Baltic ports. The tours of St. Petersburg were very rushed and crowded. Quite disappointing, but you couldn't leave the ship on your own without a $1000 a day chauffeur. It was always a visceral shock to return to the ship. The entry was a revolting combination of pink, black and silver. Giant lifesavers in the same bilious colors decorated elevator doors. Other ports were quite nice with the exception of the stop that required a 4 hour train to Berlin. Not worth the time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We've had better and worse on several cruises. Ambiance was poor do to very ugly decor which carried over to all public areas.

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The crew was friendly but needed much more training. The ship was large and awkward to navigate. After a few days we knew where we were going better than many of the crew.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Big, new and clean but ugly.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had a decent mid decks outside cabin with good visibility.

Pros: Tallin, Estonia

Cons: Nightmare in pink decor - Anna Nicole Smith channelling a brothel.
