Review summary

The cruise exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed all the ports, the ship was lovely, the entertainment was Carnival branded, and the staff was great.

Embarkation

Fastest embarkation ever! Arrived on time for 11:00 AM arrival appointment, checked in, cleared security, and walked straight onto the ship all within 15 mins. We didn’t even get a chance to see the terminal.

Regular cruise food at buffet and main dining room. The Steakhouse is always a winner.

We placed our reservations pre cruise for dinner for my birthday. The meal was delicious and the staff made my birthday fun. $$$

SoulPlay Paint Party is only available on the Carnival Spirit right now. Every ship should offer this free activity. We signed up early through Hub to participate in one of the scheduled paint events. We are given the medium and supplies and one hour to create our painted masterpiece. All ages are welcome.

I loved the decor of the Spirit. Although it was the same design as The Pride and The Legend, the decor was more colorful and modern and looked exceptionally bright. Carnival ship crews are constantly cleaning, painting, and repairing.

Sign up for SoulPlay Paint session as soon as you can on embarkation day. Spots fill up fast. If all the slots are gone, show up on the day of the event and wait in the standby line.

Disembarkation

We enrolled in the Port Valet option which is available from Seattle cruise terminal SeaTac airport. Our luggage was picked up the night before debarkation and transported from the ship and checked in at the airport. We received our boarding pass on board the ship and enjoyed hassle-free disembark in the first group off the ship. We didn’t see our bags until we arrived at our destination (I tracked luggage all the way home, including transfer, using the AirTags).
