In addition to the pros above, we very much enjoyed the daily updates from the ship's naturalist.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The meals were very good but most of the food was served luke warm to cold. This was true for both the sit down dining in the Empire Room as well as the various venues on the Lido deck. Also the assortment of \"free\" cold drinks was limited to water\, iced tea\, and lemonade. Poor to fair rating for the available cold drinks.

Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Overall\, good.....most staff greeted you with a smile and were certainly willing to help.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was clean\, access was very good\, the ship's decor/styling was just outdated.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We were located on the 8th floor\, cabin 8211 and unfortunately were bothered by the constant noise from the Lido deck kitchen directly above us. There really should be some mention of that in your documentation for cabin selection. This was our 1st extended cruise and it's unfortunate that we had to learn this lesson the \"hard way\". The overall comfort/condition of the cabin was good. The cabin stewards and room service was excellent. Again\, the decor was outdated but clean.
Pros: The personnel..... courteous\, helpful\, friendly. The ships captain went out of his way to allow us the experience of viewing the John Hopkins Glacier. Also\, getting on and off the ship at the beginning and end was good.
Cons: Getting off/on the ship for the excursions was very painful\, especially the Skagway return. We were relegated to waiting in the rain for over 45 minutes!! There were many issues with the teams scanning package/personnel on re-entry.

Can't fault the ship for the time it takes the staff to scan the packages. The same process happens trying to catch a flight.
