Review summary

Overall, a great experience. Cruise director was mediocre compared to previous cruises. Disembarkation into Miami was god-awful. Make sure to do the excursions in grand cayman and Jamaica!

Pretty solid, easy, no complaints

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The blue iguana taco bar was alright, bones in chicken were an issue. It was also closed more than it was open. The blue iguana tequila bar was also not open over half the time, even according to their posted schedule, they still closed 2 hours early.

Service and Staff

Excellent service as usual.

Ship Quality

The updates have been good to the Sensation. Guy's burger joint is a huge plus.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Large format, much nicer than previous interior rooms.

Ship tip

Guy's burger joint is basically 5 guys on the water. Delicious. Make sure you do Seaday Brunch, the menu is great.

Make sure to do the catamaran sail to Dunn River Falls. Beach mama is the best!

George Town, Grand Cayman

Greatly enjoyed the swim with the stingrays.

Disembarkation

Absolutely horrible. Cruise director did not provide updates to anyone as we left. We disembarked through deck 7 (atrium) which made for chaos for all. Everyone was funneled up to the upper decks 9/10 to wait, given no instructions on when to leave, and then other groups were forced to drag suitcases down the curved atrium stairs in order to leave. No updates from cruise director during the entire process, who decided to just stand at the exit and talk to the other carnival staff just sitting at the computers.

We were on the same cruise, I agree with everything you say... We'd have promoted DJ Devine to be Cruise Director, he had far better interaction skills... (we rented a car on Grand Cayman and had an excellent trip round the whole island)
