The paradise was a good ship for a quick getaway to relax. I would sail on her again.

Embarkation

Easy! We were scheduled for a 12:30 embark. On the ship in no time at all!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Ate dinner in the MDR every night. Our service team was so great we requested them every night after the first night. Edzel and Iver were amazing! This is the only ship, I’ve been on, that in addition to the nightly “showtime” there was a magician, Anoop, that visited us every night. We loved it! Why don’t more ships have this? The only hiccup was elegant night. It’s the MDRs busiest night and our waiting was longer than normal and some of our food came out wrong, but nothing too terrible or worth bothering the busy waitstaff over. Blue Iguana, Pizza Pirate and the deli were our go to’s for lunch. They never disappoint Sea day brunch takes too long IMO and we opted for Blue Iguana or the continental breakfast on the lido deck.

Onboard Activities

Where was the king and queen of the lido deck competition? I missed the normal lido deck shinanigans! The groove for St Jude was a joke.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We always love the violinists in the main lobby!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We live the smaller ships because we have the opportunity to get to know some of the staff better. Lionel’s service team in the MDR was great and Edzel and Iver were the standouts of the team

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and updated for an older ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Not too bad for an interior cabin! And we had the best room steward, Superman!

Ship tip

Don’t expect the bells and whistles on this ship. She’s great for a quick relaxing getaway, but she lacks some amenities that we’ve gotten used to on Carnival ships.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Back to Mr. Sanchos again! So much bang for your buck at this day resort.
