Review summary

Really unhappy with this cruise experience. It was my adult sons’ first cruise and they said they’d never go on a cruise again.

Embarkation

Embarkation was smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Food was room temp or cold in the MDR and buffet, MDR food was bland not seasoned, only food that was hot and good was Guy’s burgers, the Deli, and the pizza was ok

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
N/A - we didn’t get in the pool, too cold, didn’t go out on the deck much due to weather, but it didn’t seem like there much to do out there anyway

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Enjoyed the violinist 1st time, bored 2nd time, same for Caribbean sounds (music was just a repeat of previous show), Jason Love’s first performance was so bad, people left within the first 10 mins, love and marriage was fun, but CD provided a marriage counseling lecture at the end and killed the vibe, adult sons loved the 80s party, couldn’t understand the trivia questions due to thick accent and he didn’t repeat questions, just poor experience overall for entertainment

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Great experience with cabin attendant and most staff, but waiters/waitress in casino were hard to find, one waitress in the MDR would rush you to place an order, but overall, service was ok

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Seemed clean, it’s a small ship, but was ok.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin beds were very comfortable. We chose an interior room since we don’t usually spend much time in it. We did this trip and the room was still great.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Did the 4x4 jeep, isla passion, glass boat, and twister excursion. Jeep ride - someone in your party drove and followed the tour guide - they didn’t take you through the jungle, you ride through the city and then off-road to landing to get on a boat. The off roading was just bumpy, not exciting. Tour guide’s jeep we followed had no break lights. When we arrived to the island, we were given the wrong departure time twice and one of my sons was getting a massage, but luckily they waited on us. Coolest thing about the beach were the raccoons that wanted to be fed. Very cute and sweet. Food and complementary drinks weren’t good. Guess we expected authentic food/drinks. Glass bottom boat and snorkeling was fun. The crew was awesome. Same for the twister. Would do the twister 10x over. After each piece of the experience, a tip is requested. We always tip, but the guide on isla passion’s request felt more like a pitty request.

Disembarkation

Disembarking was a mess and disorganized, when our muster location was called, you couldn’t move. Stairwells and elevators were at a standstill for 20 minutes or more
