Review summary

Overall a nice 5 night cruise. It was my first time on a Fantasy class ship and I enjoyed it and will definitely sail it again if given the opportunity.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Had an early arrival window. Sped through security and checkin really quickly. Once boarding started it was very quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food in the MDR and buffet was good. Portions have gotten smaller on some dishes but that was actually probably for the better. Guys and Blue Iguana never disappoint. No specialty restaurants on this ship but we ordered from the Steakhouse Selections in the dining room, this was very good and worth the small up-charge.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Easy to find something to do. The casino was pretty busy the entire trip.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Playlist productions was better than expected on this cruise. 80’s and Amor Cubano were well done. My favorite is Deal or No Deal.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was very clean and well taken care of. My only gripe was the forward elevators. They were split up meaning 2 elevators serviced levels 4-10 and the other 2 serviced 4-14. This meant everyone would press both buttons calling 2 elevators to every floor. We took the stairs more often, again, probably for the better. The midship and aft elevators didn’t appear to have the same issue.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Standard interior cabin. It was spacious and I enjoyed the larger showers on this ship versus the newer ships.

Ship tip

Try to book a room that’s nearer the mid or aft elevators.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Had to give this 3 stars. Now, this is mostly caused by other passengers not listening to directions but I feel they call too many groups at once and it creates a bottleneck. Even though Tampa doesn’t have the facial recognition system, there was no slow down at customs at all.
