For my first cruise experience overall was great ,it shock me the gratuities amount but there is not choice ,I prefer to tip staff personally

Oh and for future, in the MDR you can order as much of whatever. You want 3 apps and 2 entrees? Order them. I've seen people order 5 shrimp cocktails each night! Haha! Don't limit yourself to the buffet 💕💕

You can remove the gratuities but they are shared amongst people that service you but you may not ever see and therefore might not receive the gracious tip. When it's broken down per day its really not much at all. Soni leave it and then tip those who really made my experience great with extra cash 💕💕

Carnival did have the option to go to guest services and ask them to remove gratuities from account and ask for envelopes so you can tip the people directly, but not sure if they still do that. It’s just so much easier to prepay for gratuities and tip extra if you want to.

Those gratuities not only go to the folks you see every day, but a lot more that you never see. It is a lot but it goes to a lot of staff who deserve more.

Appreciate your feedback. Glad you enjoyed your cruise. You should have been aware of the standard gratuity that was added, it can be paid up front. We also give additional gratuity to those who go the extra mile.
