Review summary

This was just not the type of cruise that we’ve been accustomed to. Food was not what we have been “spoiled” with. Lamb shank that was mostly fat to rabbit appetizer that no one could tell me what I was eating, but it didn’t taste like rabbit. Prosciutto that looked like deli ham served with overripe melon - not what I have come to expect.

Embarkation

Not well organized for persons with disabilities.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Destiny was our assigned dining room and we were not very impressed with either the selection or presentation.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pool was pleasant, but the whirlpool was filled with children the entire time. The Adult Only area was difficult at best to get to - we opted not to go.

Entertainment

Not interested in the selection.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was attentive and our room always cleaned beautifully. The dining team was personable and pleasant. I would recommend that there be a little more attention to their serving training. Really didn’t appreciate being reached across.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
We felt like the Paradise was dated and difficult to maneuver. The decor feels very much like an ‘80’s disco. The common areas were clean, but showed obvious signs of wear.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was comfortable, bathroom adequate size and our Steward paid excellent attention to it.

Ship tip

Change your mind.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
This was our home port and is an easy port to maneuver with more than adequate parking. Customs was extremely easy to get through.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Definitely a tourist port. We found a resort to spend the day. Was definitely a great idea.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Went smoothly.

It’s a shame to hear this. I’ve been on the paradise a couple times and absolutely love the ship.
