We had fun. I think I prefer an actual beach vacation with beachside sitting, but did enjoy myself on the cruise.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Went really fast. We were able to board over an hour before our scheduled appointment, and basically walked right on.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was okay. I was never really excited to eat. Salad bar ended up being my favorite. Cakes were very pretty, but all tasted the same to me-from peanut butter to chocolate bourbon to cherry-literally tasted almost the same. Drinks were watered down/weak, except for casino bar. We didn’t go to any specialty restaurants, but I heard the food there was a little better.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Enjoyed casino and comedy club. Pools/hot tubs were pretty much standing room only the whole cruise.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Enjoyed poolside shows. Lots of fun. Comedians were great at comedy club.
Children's Programs
Did not take children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was very nice and helpful. Water in bathroom was brown first day, but plumber was sent down and problem resolved itself- steward and plumber was right on the issue. Everyone encountered was helpful and friendly the entire cruise.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Very clean all over the entire cruise. I never saw a dirty area anywhere.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cozy and very clean. Enough room for 3 adults who overpack! Fridge did not keep anything cold.
Ship tip
Bring a large cup to bring water from dining room. Ship only offers small cups. You don’t want to make 1000 trips upstairs just to refill your 8oz cup. Also, if you are noise sensitive, bring a fan. It just needs to be under 12in in diameter to be compliant. I brought my vornado fan and heard zero outside noise when fan was on.
We just shopped a little, then got back on the ship. Water was a beautiful blue. Everyone was nice, but some shops were a little pushy. Happy they accepted cash at all shops.
This took longer than boarding. My tip is pay for a porter to take your luggage out. You get thru the line much faster than taking your own suitcases they the final ID check to exit.
