Review summary

Cruise ports were great and what we expected. The outdated ship was below our standards and we will look for another cruise line for our next cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food on the ship was not quality. We cruised in 2014 and had wonderful dining experiences but not this time. The prime rib was roast beef, there was no seafood, the best dessert was the chocolate lava cake.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The pools are small and old, the main poop was closed for a full day.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were good, comedians were great

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our daughter loved the children's programs, would highly recommend.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Ship needs a desperate upgrade.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Room was small and cramped . We asked for a trundle bed for our daughter and got a lot which took up the little floor space that was available in their room. Very disappointed.

Ship tip

Make sure to take an extra 3 way outlet as there is only 1 in the room .

It goes into dry dock in February. Try it again after that. We love the Paradise, going again in April!

This is my second time in the that ship. First time was 2008 when it was in Long Beach CA. Good memories with family. I would like to sail in the Carnival Miracle some day.

I’ve sailed on the Paradise twice back when it was still smoke free. Sadly, now the smoking is allowed again. Since I have a medical issue (asthma), I wish all ships would be smoke free. I’d book any ship, going anywhere that was smoke free. Just sayin...😬

I cruised this ship back in 97! Non smoking then. Enough said.

Yea because choosing one of the oldest and smallest ships in the fleet lol. Bye.

You chose 1 of the oldest ships in the fleet for your first cruise. Don't write off Carnival w/o trying the Dream Class ships (Dream, Magic, & especially Breeze) or the Vista Class ships (Vista k soon to be Horizon & Panorama!
