Review summary

I enjoyed the cruise and cannot wait to cruise again. I would just make sure to pick a very new ship. Paradise is a very old small ship with not much to offer. Both me and my girl friend came and got sick after being on the cruise with pneumonia - and I am VERY healthy normally. The best part were the photographers and professional photos we took while on board. Worth every penny.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The embarkation experience was fantastic. Best I have ever encountered. No waiting.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was okay - was not impressed with the Buffets. The dinners in the dining room were hit and miss.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Paradise is a VERY old ship I would not sail again. There was not much to do. The fitness center was nice, pool and water slide were small. No rock climbing, put put golf was tired and old, comedy club has the best venue. The other main entertainment area had terrible seating.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedians were GREAT! Not so impressed with the singers. The DJs were fantastic and kept the party going

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I was highly impressed with my room steward and all the staff were pleasant and friendly.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
It is a VERY old ship which has not been upgraded.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
It was old and well used. TV was tiny. Window was foggy and hard to see out of.

Ship tip

Pick a newer Carnival cruise ship for your vacation

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida Did not visit port

It is where we departed from

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Loved Grand Cayman. I got to swim with sting rays and sea turtles

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
The Jeep adventure our to Punta Sur was spectacular, but I would have preferred more time really Jeeping - off road. Punta Sur was beautiful and I really enjoyed snorkeling and seeing all the fish. The water was amazing. I will be back.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Getting off the ship was easy since we carried our own bags.

The ship did have a virus but that can happen on any ship. The virus is very contagious all it takes is one person to spread it. I was on the nov. 4th cruise and had no problems. Lots of hand washing

Sorry people were very sick on the Anthem of the seas..i was reading about it on the internet and a lot more people than they first said the age of ship has nothing to do with that you can get sick on any ship .. it does not help when people do not wash there hands and walk out the bathroom ... yuk unreal .. hope ur feeling better 👍

Anthem is much older than two years old. BTW isn't that the ship dealing with the norovirus outbreak?
