Will never sail on the Paradise again and will not return to Cuba I find Communist countries very depressing. The crew and food saved this cruise from being a bust.

It's room as that you were so disappointed with your cruise. I don't know what you mean by cattle call embarkation and you neglected to explain. Boarding is generally done as quickly as possible to get the 2000+ guests onboard in a timely manner. If you find all Communist countries to be the same, I wonder why you booked a cruise to Cuba. I've only heard good things about the resorts, friendly people and nice merchants. How did you find it depressing? Was it because they did not have all of the modern luxuries that we have in North America in our materialistic society? Handicapped rooms are generally only booked by guests not needing them, when no other rooms are available. Did you check to see what type of room you were going to be in prior to booking? I have always found that researching the cruise, ports, ship layout etc means that we will have a great time. If you cruise again, perhaps doing some research prior to booking will help you too.

Did you not read where you were going? Typical of people in today's society that DO NOT read and comprehend things!

Sorry to hear about your cruise experience.  The Paradise is an older ship and even with retro fitting she is still not the best, that is for sure.  I am shocked that you did not like Cuba.  Being Canadian, we have the luxury of going to Cuba often and I have always found the people there pleasant.  No haggling over prices, and the resort areas are beautiful.  Hopefully your net cruise will be a better experience.

Paradise very old and tired...

I was on Paradise last year, and she was fabulous. I had a great time with all the activities, and the staff was amazing. Maybe the destination wasn't your cup of tea, but that isn't the fault of the ship.
