Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation went very well. We had a new housekeeping worker and he did awesome while we stayed in that room, but it took a really long time to gain access to the room on embarkation day. Also, the crew did a very good job with our mustard stations in the case something went wrong and we all had to safely exit the ship while at sea.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
My family and I mostly ate in the Elation dining area. Every night the menu changed, the first night was the only night I actually just ordered appetizers from the menu for my meal. The Dining area has a wide variety of selections from seafood, steak, rabbit, escargot, beef brisket, and more. Just for a friendly note the dining has a separate section I think it was called steak house that you could order from a selection of steaks, lobster, and other food, but this costs an additional $20 to have. I recommend you order the warming melting cake with vanilla ice cream! However, the three times we ate in the buffet section the selections were great. The ship had a Chinese, Italian, Sandwich, Pizza, and other foods available in the buffet area.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Personally, I did not do much on the ship because both sea days I was in the room doing 2 summer college courses, but my brother loved the trivial pursuit, Hasbro game show, and other activities he went to. I know they offered different spa experiences in the afternoon. I would definitely recommend the night shows that include a performance by the ship dancers as well as if the ship offers a Good Morning with the Director show. However, the one thing to keep in mind is that the ship advertises a pool, but the actual size when I saw it in person was way too small for a number of people who wanted to use the pool each day (that's one of the things I was planning on making time for but didn't after I saw how small it was.)

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The performers were awesome they all did a fantastic job, I just would have liked to hear a little more variety, but I didn;t get out much so they could have had a great selection of artist and performers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the ship workers were amazing and most of them would go out of their way to help make the experience a fun and memorable one. Also, a tip for when you go on a cruise write down the ship workers names that stand out to you and when you hand a paper in or do their survey mention those workers because this is how they get recognized and work benefits, I believe they said like promotions, pay rises, and such.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship design was confusing to me because I wasn't able to familiarize myself with the ship because of the 2 summer courses I had to complete. However, the rest of my family seemed to get a good idea of where things were. The cleanliness I don't remember having many issues with this except for embarkation day because our housekeeping worker forgot to pick up a boy's shorts that were left from the last people who stayed in the room.

Cabin / Stateroom

The reason why the ship gets a poor rating from me is that the ocean view rooms do not fit 4 people unless you change the layout of the room you will not have any walking space, be bumping into each other, and the layout of the closet and bathroom doors hit each other, so be careful when exiting the bathroom that you don't hit someone who is staying with you. Also, why the ship gets a bad review is when my family and I came back from our day in Cozumel I was the first one to figure out that our room was under water. (Not kidding) The people next to us, their toilet had overflowed while they were also away in Cozumel and a valve in the hallway access area for the workers would not shut off. This accident caused about 6 to 8 cabins to be relocated. I really appreciate the ship workers for being so kind and willing to help, as well as customer service for lending a hand. However, this was my one free day to go have fun on the ship once we got back needless to say I really did a minimal of the ship activities. We took the rest of the day to relocate rooms, which we had to settle for an even more cramped interior room for four people (would not recommend this at all unless financially not able to do so), and we basically went through embarkation day set up all over again for our new room location. Lastly, I hope this does not happen to you, but in case you do experience water in your cabin and the ship workers offer to do your laundry or dry your wet things like luggage, please know to use the black trash bags they provide and not just stick it in the luggage case. We checked if this was okay with a worker and they said yes because they will check if something is in the luggage, but we received the mostly dry luggage to find out they did not even open the case to see if anything was in it. We had to then send the soaked luggage back with other people's shoes we received that wasn't ours, which changed how we did the debarkation process because we could not sit all of our luggage outside the night before like they asked everyone to do.

Ship tip

Download the ship's app because this really does help you to navigate the ship and keep track of activities. Also, take the time to turn off your roaming for wifi or data on the ship because this is an easy way to have a costly expense at the end of your trip. Lastly, take part in the formal night pictures because there are numerous photographers and the majority of the ones my family visited were very professional. Just know that if you want the ships pictures this is also an easy way to add high expenses to your trip. My family paid for at least ten photos, which we then received a flash drive with the pictures we purchased because of going over. The bill was over $300.00.

Security was confusing, but otherwise, it was great! However, you do stand outside with only 1 bathroom access before you can start the check-in process.

All things went smoothly and did a great job of leaving and reboarding the ship.

Disembarkation

It was good but long and when you got off the ship the only bathroom access was the one by the drop-off and pick up area. In this case, I would highly recommend using the bathroom on the ship before you leave.
