Review summary

Simply would not recommend sailing with Carnival. We did not reach one of our two destinations due to what they claimed was an unknown mechanical issue. After doing some research the exact same problem and itinerary change occurred 2 months earlier on the same ship. This has also been a previous occurrence on other Carnival ships where they choose not to disclose the problem until you've set sail. Majority of staff was polite and courteous, yet several employees at the customer service desk were rude and nasty towards myself and my wife. Displeased with our cruise as 5 other couples agreed with when we spoke to them on the ship.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Easy embarkation process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dining was clean, but variety, availability, and quality of food was below expectations set by other cruise lines we have sailed with.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Ship only offered a couple of different shows/acts that were not very entertaining.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Not very entertaining.

Children's Programs

No kids traveled with us on this cruise.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Room service and bartenders were extremely nice and courteous, yet had minor confrontation with guest services rep and manager. Could have been handled easily yet they pointed blame at myself and my wife immediately.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Areas were always clean and well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin was kept clean and was average.

Ship tip

Do not sail with Carnival. We did not reach one of our two destinations due to what they claimed was an unknown mechanical issue. Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

3 out of 5
Nice port and east to board ship.

George Town, Grand Cayman Did not visit port

Claimed to have "uknown" mechanical problems preventing proper speed, yet same problems occurred months earlier on same ship.

Cozumel, Mexico

2 out of 5
Port was okay, but no beaches within walking distance.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
Disembarked by floor numbers and specific times which was a bit of a delay, but process was easy beyond that factor.

, read your contract that you agreed to when purchasing your ticket , cruise line has the option due to weather, mechanical, safety ,or any other reason they feel at the time , they don't have to leave the dock !!!!!!!

Cancelled ports are almost always a letdown. Not supporting Carnival, but it happens to every cruise line.
