Review summary

This was the first time we have ever been on Carnival and it was the worst. First, the cabin we were in was not what we expected. We would hear loud noises similar to construction noises throughout the day and night. The hallway on our floor also constantly had a bad locker room smell. Then, the soda package was an inconvenience. Ever time we needed to ask for a soda, we would have to go to the bar and ask a bartender for a refill our container. Of course, the bartenders would ignore us and service those that were ordering alcoholic beverages before us. Also we always felt that we were being constantly haggled to purchase items or give tips by the wait and service staff. Overall it was disappointing and I will not recommend Carnival cruises to anyone.

Here's another tip: I treat my cabin like I do my home. I don't leave my shit laying around, clean up my messes and have never treated the staff as my servants. Make bed every morning as well. If I get new towels and a new towel animal I'm a happy cruiser.

Always bring airfreshner within 30 minutes my cabin is cloroxed and smells like home.

Well sorry but it's your own fault I would of went straight to customer service and changed rooms and reported the smell we have been on 16 cruises and have never had an issue and have never been hassled for tips the cost just go's on your room for drinks and with the drinks package you can go to any bar for a top up I think from your comments you were looking for problems any issued should of been addressed by customer service had they have know about the problem they would of fixed it ... enjoy the other lines and do us a favour and stay away from carnival .

i was on that cruise nov on 6th floor but also i research the rooms before i book to make sure it work for me but every cruise i take i learn from it. the room was big for a ocean veiw service was good but the show was ok but it was a short cruise but fun was with 12 other friends from a wedding party.food was great but in the buffet didnt have pineapple for breakfast i guest only for dinner but for lunch they didnt have romaine lettuce iceberg lettuce gets me sick. but the dininer in the main dinning room was really good so it made up great service their. i usely cruice with rcl and norwegain my favorite . but in all the cruice was fun plus was a cheap cruise for 5days .

You are both correct, they don't hassle you to leave tips, they automatically are added to your bar bill. Some ships now do have the freestyle kiosks. The "construction" noise could of been that the cabin was too close to the machine room, maybe deck 3 or 4.

Carnival doesn't have as far as I know anyway freestyle drink kiosks. you do have to go to the bars. i've never had an issue with having to wait to be served a soda at the bar either. also never been haggled to pay tips.

Haggled to leave tips??? What ship were you on? They're not allowed to do that. You don't have to go to the bar to get soda it's at any freestyle drink kiosk. All over the ships. You were misinformed.
