Review summary

My favorite part of the cruise was the comedy shows.  The comedians were hilarious!  This is my first time on Carnival.  I have cruised many other times, but not on Carnival.  The staff seemed super tired and not exactly friendly.  Even the cruise director was clicky and not approachable.  The food was not as good as I'm used to.  Strange layout.  15 drinks and then cut off on the drink package, but at least no drinks were off the list.  Everything was included, even specialty coffee and water.  During the disembark, they turn the water off, so if you use the bathroom, you can't even wash your hands.  People are still eating from the buffet!!!!   THAT'S GROSS!   I'm not saying I had a bad time.  I met some great people and had fun, but it was likely the worst cruise I had been on in terms of comfort and service.

Cutting off the water? Wow! I wonder if this is just Paradise that does this? We have never had that experience on other ships. Thanks for the heads up. I'll prepare & bring our wet wipes for ours hands.

We were on Paradise last year..they cut the water off..no drinks..no ice. It was so hot. No way to flush or wash hands. It was gross then too. A group of kids without parental supervision were pouring salt and lemonade and icecream all over three tables. The poor guy kept coming back wiping and wiping ..never said a word..just kept cleaning over and over the mess these kids made. Then they started jumping in the booths. I went and got security. I had enough. Cruise ships arent babysitters.. We all want to have fun.

We had an unfavorable time on the Paradise in January, which was a first for us on any of our cruises. While on the ship, we learned that 75% of the crew were new and in training, which made sense given the things we witnessed as compared to other Carnival ships. If you want to give Carnival another try, go on the Pride. It's the perfect sized ship, the staff is exceptional, and it was just refurbished in 2014. I haven't seen it since the refurbishment, but we are going on her again for Christmas, and I'm so excited!!! Please don't let one poorly trained ship deter you from the entire line.
