Review summary

I have been on several cruises with different companies, this was the worst.  The ship needs to be put out of service or made into a couples only retreat.  There was very little to do except drink.  You couldn't even get in the very small pool --they only had one for the adults and that had the slide so the many, many kids used that one along with the pool reserved for them.  The shows were very basic with very thought put into them.  To be fair the ship is so small that there is no room for more entertainment or amenities.  However, there was no excuse for the food.  The Lido deck buffet was an embarrassment.  The food in the dining hall was better but not much.  It was a disappointing cruise.  The one good thing was the people who served us and waited on us.  Very, very wonderful people.

This was simply a balcony room on other ships. Why don't you call it that??

Ship tip

The best meal you can find is the breakfast brunch in the dining room. Eat up because the rest of the food that day won't compare.

Hello,

I went on the Paradise 4/30/2016. The OP is correct. It is a smaller ship but that didn't bother me. What bothered me was the ship needs to be refurbished. There was rust on a lot of corners. The carpets were in poor shape. There were stains everywhere. The carpet by the main stairs/elevators smelled like moldy, dank carpets that needed to be thrown out. The food was below par for the buffet. Dinners were mediocre at best. The staff was very pleasant as usual. The room was poor. The covers, sheets and pillows left a HUGE cloud of lint floating in the air if you moved or ruffled them. I mean it was bad. Those linens should've been thrown out or washed better. I have no idea what was wrong with them to make clouds of dust in the air like that. Not just one day either. The entire trip.

So don't be so harsh on the original poster. He/she is correct. The boat is old, dank and needs to either be retired or really, seriously redone. I won't be sailing on that ship ever again. It was nothing like the Liberty I went on. That ship was pretty good.

I have a trip on the Glory scheduled in November. Hope its like the Liberty.

Anyways,

Have a good one!

If they went in the middle of summer.....hello family vacations did they not expect kids to being in the pools. I have cruised with Carnival many times and yrs the Paradise is a small ship with many activities. Sailed on it in January and will be sailing on it again on Sept 8th.

Did they expect the Queen Mary if he checked a few thing he would know 1. Port of Tampa can't handle large ships 2. If he was looking for the fun of the large ship go to Port Canaveral 3. Carnival is a company that makes It affordable for family's to enjoy a cruise . Sorry mister big shot go to another line and bitch about them

Go on a small ship and complain about the size...hmmm...

As far as your comments about the size of the ship and the amount of pools and activities, you should've done your research. Carnival Paradise is in the smallest class that Carnival offers. And as for everything else, honestly you could've already been bitter about your experience and been in a not so good mood and that threw everything else off for you. Do your research next time.
