Review summary

I can't even begin to explain how disappointing this cruise was. It was my very first cruise for both my wife and myself. The buffet food was subpar at best. If you wanted good quality food you had to pay extra. If I go to a hotel, the wifi is free. Here you will pay extra and you have to pay even more if you want email access.

Everything is upcharged and 15% automatic gratuity on it. Very poor communication from staff regarding time leaving and returning. Spend a little less time trying to rake your customers over the coals for every dime, and spend more time improving your quality of food and be more competitive on your drink prices. I'm very sorry I decided to spend our anniversary onboard the Carnival Paradise.

Nice room. More room than I thought I would have.

Ship tip

Be ready for a picture at every turn and a huge charge for them as well. If your not going to buy the pictures ask them not to take them. I saw thousands of pictures being thrown away because they weren't purchased.

So what your paying for internet your in the middle of the ocean, and your on vacation so what's the point of having internent you can post all your photos and/or videos after the cruise that was YOUR vacation you shouldn't worry about anything else besides having a good time

My wife and I were on the Paradise last year and it was great. I have read the comments and have to say that most had great comments as do I. Let's remember the crew works hard and some times they are overwhelmed. We have been on 9 cruises and all were great. You make it good or bad.

The only way to go! Bravo! Some people have not reached the point in life to understand or value time off. That was me when I was younger. Now that I've learned to shut it all off, I can appreciate and enjoy it. If you rely on having wifi and It being cheap, pass on cruising for now as you're not ready.

Hotels are not in the middle of the ocean like a cruise ship. Of course you're going to pay to have internet in the MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN!

95% of cruises up sale ecverthing from 15-18$ automatically when you purchase anything on a cruise. Internet from what I've been told is harder to keep connected on a cruise that's why it's so expensive. Maybe try again, but maybe cruises aren't for you

Cruising doesn't agree with everyone. What Carnival provides in value for money spent is pretty darn good in our estimation. We don't cruise with the idea of expecting a superior food experience but if you do your research both before and on the ship, you can surely find foods that you enjoy. We generally pass on the breakfast and lunch buffet and use the Mongolian Wok, Guy's burgers and breakfast in the dining room, just to name a few. We also expect to have Carnival try to sell us on spending more, but thats a choice totally up to us. I don't think you will find what your looking for on other cruise lines, but more in a different style of vacation. Sorry It didn't work out.
